The Los Angeles Lakers got a much-needed win on Wednesday to stay in the Western Conference playoff picture. However, Lakers star Anthony Davis had to overcome some adversity after being on the receiving end of an absolutely brutal groin shot.
The play occurred in the fourth quarter with the Lakers holding a 16-point lead. Los Angeles rolled the ball in on an inbounds pass, which clearly frustrated Bulls guard Coby White.
White then tried to push his way right through Anthony Davis to get the ball, wildly throwing an elbow right into the groin region of Davis.

The play was ultimately reviewed and White was issued a flagrant 1 foul for this extremely unnecessary foul on Davis.

It’s unclear whether this incident was intentional or not from White. Regardless, many fans took to social media to express their condolences toward Davis for being on the receiving end of this painful foul.

Unfortunately for the Bulls, Anthony Davis got the last laugh despite this awful groin shot. He finished the game with 38 points to go along with ten rebounds, playing a big role in the Lakers’ victory.
This win makes it four wins in the last five games for Los Angeles, who seem to be clicking at the right time thanks to the return of LeBron James from his foot injury earlier this month.
