Baron Davis last played in an NBA game about four years ago, when he blew out his knee playing for the Knicks in the 2012 playoffs. It seemed like that would be the end of the line for the 36-year-old former star.
But, it’s not.
Baron Davis, a former NBA All-Star, has signed with the Philadelphia 76ers' D-League affiliate (Delaware), sources tell The Vertical.

The Delaware 87ers are in fact a real sports team, and Baron Davis will be playing for them (and not the pathetic parent club) soon. Hopefully, Davis can still make a few highlights like he was able to do in his heyday, such as this when he was with the Warriors when they were nothing more than lovable underdogs.
Maybe the Sixers are using Davis to mentor their young players down in the D-League, but it doesn’t make much sense considering what the Sixers have done in the Sam Hinkie era.
Still, more Baron Davis is never a bad thing, even if it’s in a college gym on the campus of the University of Delaware for the farm team of the NBA’s biggest joke in recent memory.
