Last month, Boston Celtics’ great Bill Russell was caught on camera flipping off TNT analyst Charles Barkley at the NBA Awards, and he said “Whenever I see Charles, it just is pure instinct.” Well, it looks like that instinct may go beyond Barkley. At the NBA’s Summer League (which has seen plenty of shenanigans) in Vegas Wednesday, Lina Washington of Sacramento’s ABC 10 caught and shared a video of Russell flipping off the Kings’ Vince Carter:

And that wasn’t Russell’s only flipped bird Wednesday, apparently. Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press tweeted that he saw Russell flipping off famed former Laker Kareem Abdul-Jabbar:
Bill Russell just flipped off Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Bill Russell's year of flipping people off is absolutely amazing.
A national treasure.

That’s pretty funny. And hey, if anyone’s going to flip you off, it probably feels better when it’s coming from a legend like Russell.
