It sounds like pop megastar Britney Spears had an unpleasant interaction with the security assigned to NBA rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama.
According to a report from TMZ, Britney Spears has filed a police report after the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs backhand slapped her in the face at Catch restaurant in the ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas when she tried to approach Victor Wembanyama to ask if he would be willing to take a photograph with her.
“Britney and co. walked over to Catch, and as they were entering the restaurant, Britney spotted Victor. We’re told she’s a fan and went over to him to ask if they could take a photo together. She tapped him on his back, right shoulder and, we’re told the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs — the team that drafted Victor last month — instantly backhanded her, causing her to fall to the ground … knocking her glasses off,” TMZ wrote on
TMZ reports that security did apologize to Spears later in the evening, claiming that they did not realize who she was. Spears accepted the apology, but that does not appear to be stopping her from filing charges against the security team.
