ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Carmelo Anthony has expanded the list of teams that he’d being willing to waive his no-trade clause for, and the list includes the Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Carmelo Anthony, a 10-time NBA All-Star, has delivered the New York Knicks an expanded list of teams — including the Cleveland Cavaliers — with which he would be willing to waive his no-trade clause, league sources told ESPN.

Team sources told ESPN’s Ian Begley that the Knicks also were informed that the Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the other teams Anthony has included on that list.

Woj adds that the Houston Rockets remain Anthony’s preferred destination, but the Knicks have “insisted they were unable to make a deal” with Houston. With Houston apparently out of the picture, Anthony addedthe Cavs and Thunder to the list of teams he’d be willing to accept a trade to.

And the NY Daily News‘ Stefan Bondy reports that the Knicks reached out to the Cavs over the last 10 days to discuss a potential trade.

Hoping they can deal Carmelo Anthony before training camp, the Knicks reached out to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the last 10 days to gauge their interest in a possible trade, a source told the Daily News.

The idea of Anthony joining LeBron James and the Cavs is certainly the most interesting one, and perhaps the 33-year-old is at the point of his career where he’s willing to be a team’s third-best scoring option — behind LeBron and Isaiah Thomas — to finally compete for a championship.

And, he’d seemingly be the third-best scorer on Oklahoma City — behind Russell Westbrook and Paul George — if the Knicks worked out a trade with the Thunder. But given that the Thunder have to deal with the Warriors in the West, they would probably still come up a bit short in their title hopes even if they acquired Anthony.

Woj reports that the Portland Trail Blazers having interest in Anthony (with stars C.J McCollum and Damian Lillard even recruiting Anthony), but Portland is currently not believed to be on the list of teams Anthony would accept a trade to.

Anthony averaged 22.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last year, with a 17.96 Player Efficiency Rating.
