While the Boston Celtics are in the fight of their life in their playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers, Celtics star Jayson Tatum received some encouragement and a special gift from a big fan.

Former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady sent Tatum an autographed New England Patriots jersey.

Brady said:

“L.F.G., I love watching you play! Good luck. 7X S.B. champ.”

Tatum shared the post on his Instagram story.

As many already know, Brady was the starting quarterback for the Patriots for many years, winning six Super Bowl titles, so it shouldn’t be a shock that he is a Celtics fan.

Tatum and his team need encouragement as they struggle with the 76ers. The series is tied at two a piece.

The Celtics were expected to run away in the Eastern Conference and not have a difficult time against the 76ers, but James Harden has all but carried this team on his back, and Boston looks like they may be in trouble.

It’s nice to see that Brady still loves his former city and shows support to another athlete. It will be interesting to see if Tatum and the Celtics can pull this series out. The Celtics and Sixers are tied at two games apiece as they head into a proverbial best of three.
