Remember when Blake Griffin injured his hand after punching a member of the Clippers equipment staff? Though it appeared the two made up, that staff member will no longer be an employee of the Clippers in the upcoming NBA season.

According to a report from the Los Angeles Daily News, equipment manager Matias Testi will not be a member of the staff in the 2016-2017 season, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Clippers. What is unknown or unconfirmed at this point is whether the team let go of Testi or if he left on his own accord. The Clippers did not comment on the employment status to the Los Angeles Daily News, and Testi has not been able to be reached for comment.

In late January, it was reported Griffin injured his hand in a fight with a member of the Clippers’ equipment staff outside a restaurant in Toronto. After a bit of a blundering social media snafu showing Griffin holding up a fist in an advertisement for tickets, and the NBA getting involved to investigate the situation, the Clippers issued a suspension to Griffin nearly two weeks later.

Griffin later issued an apology for the incident as he prepared to return from the team-issued suspension. Soon after that apology, the Clippers once again went to social media to let everyone know everything was cool by sharing an image of Griffin and the equipment staffer shaking hands. They looked so happy, but you’ll have to take our word for it because the Clippers have deleted the post with the image of Griffin and Testi.

Here’s hoping Testi comes out and has the opportunity to tell his side of this somewhat odd story, if he so chooses.
