Damian Lillard just hit a major milestone in his career.

The Portland Trail Blazers star is now the franchise’s all-time leading scorer. The star point guard achieved the historic feat Monday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He hasn’t been shy about making moments against the Thunder before. And so, he did it again on Monday, as they won’t ever not be intertwined.

Lillard passed Basketball Hall of Famer and Blazers great Clyde Drexler to get to the No. 1 spot on the leaderboard.

Our own Twitter account tweeted Monday night, “Damian Lillard passes Clyde Drexler and becomes the leading scorer in Portland Trail Blazers history. 18,041.”

Lillard has been a Blazer for life and that doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon. With Dame heading the all-time leaderboard now, the question will be, “Just how many more points will be scored during the rest of his career?”

The NBA world reacted with glee and celebration to Dame and his achievement.

Brandon Sprague, a Portland-area radio voice, tweeted, “Congrats to Dame Lillard! It’s been a joy to watch him go from summer league phenom to every definition of a franchise player. The best leader in sports who embraces team and community.”

Blazers reporter Casey Holdahl then tweeted in appreciation of the staff in OKC during the moment. He said, “The game ops folks here in OKC recognizing Dame Lillard for setting the franchise scoring mark

Former teammate LaMarcus Aldridge also showed Dame love. He tweeted, “Congrats Dame Lillard!! Legacy moves…”

Blazers studio host Jamie Hudson congratulated Dame as well. She tweeted, “The biggest congrats to the one and only Dame Lillard — THE ALL-TIME LEADING SCORER in Trail Blazers history.”
