DeAndre Jordan is a force of nature. Unfortunately, for Pau Gasol, he felt the full effects of Jordan’s strength.
The Los Angeles Clippers faced off against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night and Jordan decided the matchup would be the best time to posterize someone new. The victim? 36-year-old Gasol.

On a slick Chris Paul bounce pass, Jordan straight-up posterizes a defenseless Gasol, who flails as he inherits Jordan’s full slam.
Even on a Gregg Popovich-coached Spurs team, Gasol’s defensive shortcomings are apparent. He’s no Tim Duncan, so when he’s playing the five against bigger, stronger, more athletic centers like Jordan, he stands little chance. Jordan’s dunk is the worst-case scenario for Gasol.
It’s not the only Gasol low-light of the night. Look how he defended against sharpshooter J.J. Redick.
