DeMar DeRozan has been an amazing signing for the Chicago Bulls, averaging 27.4 points (51.2 field goal percentage and 86.1 free throw percentage), 5.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists on the season (he’s also made buzzer-beaters for the win on consecutive days). On Friday night, the All-Star Game starter scored 35 points on 14-of-22 shooting from the field and 7-of-7 shooting from the line in a 134-122 Bulls win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
It’s the fourth consecutive game that DeRozan has scored at least 35 points (he scored 36, 38, and 45 in the three other games), and he’s shot 62% from the field over those four games. DeRozan joins some guy named Michael Jordan as the only players in Bulls history to score 35-plus points in four straight games.

And DeRozan capped off the special night with a baseline turnaround jumper in the fourth quarter, which he let Minnesota’s Patrick Beverley hear about.
With the Bulls leading 128-112 with under three minutes to go in the fourth quarter, DeRozan and the always chatty Beverley were talking trash. DeRozan then got Beverley one-on-one and proceeded to drain the shot over Beverley. And after making the shot, the 6’6″ DeRozan gave the “too small” taunt to the 6’1″ Beverley.

That’s entertaining stuff, and it summarizes the dominance of DeRozan this season- especially of late.
