Following an 88-82 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, Detroit’s Reggie Jackson celebrated  in a way that rubbed the Thunder the wrong way.

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant made their displeasure public, but Pistons rookie Stanley Johnson was not afraid to jump in the middle of the off-court drama to defend his teammate.

Durant called Jackson’s celebration”bush league,” noting Johnson jumping around and running around the court following the win.Westbrook went a tad further by calling the celebration “bull sh–.” Keep in mind Jackson has a point to prove against the Thunder after being traded away by the team last year to Detroit. Given that context, you can understand where he was coming from, perhaps.

“I understand you’re happy you won the game, but our whole team didn’t play. We would’ve beat the hell out of them if it did,” Durant said after the game on Tuesday.

Detroit’s Johnson responded on Friday.

“That’s uncalled for,” Johnson said Friday. “If he wanted to have an impact on the game he should have just played.”

With that, the rivalry between Johnson and the Thunder is officially on. Johnson continued to say he will circle all future games against the Thunder and he said nobody is afraid to face them. Meanwhile, Jackson, who played for the Thunder last year, is all in on the idea that it is Detroit vs. the World.
