Dwight Howard did not appreciate the foul Andrew Bogut committed on him Thursday night, and rightfully so.

The Golden State Warriors were in a tight contest with the Houston Rockets, who are playing for pride at this point, when Andrew Bogut held the elbow of Dwight Howard. Howard took exception to the move, and threw the ball at Bogut after he was able to break free, which earned him a technical foul.

Howard has a fair gripe here. That’s an awfully dangerous play by Bogut, one that we saw just last year in the Cavaliers-Celtics series, where Kelly Olynyk held Kevin Love in a similar fashion. It resulted in Love missing the rest of the series, and postseason with a dislocated shoulder.

But, in a game where the Rockets must win, throwing the ball at Bogut probably wasn’t the best idea by Howard. Though certainly some players might not have been as kind as he was in that moment.

Luckily for Howard, he fared better than Love did, although unless the Rockets are somehow able to turn things around against the Warriors, their playoffs will be over shortly as well.
