Solomon Hill of the New Orleans Pelicans had a dunk for the ages on Monday. However, Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart had to ruin it with his flopping tendencies.

As Hill finished off a great dunk, the amazing play was called off thanks to Smart flopping like a fish. As basketball fans know, Smart has a Duke-like talent when it comes to flopping. Let’s take a look and raise our collective blood pressures.

Ugh. And he thinks it’s a good idea to celebrate after his fraudulent play. It’s just beyond frustrating to watch.

As previously mentioned, this isn’t the first time Smart decided to throw himself to the floor. Just look at this past year’s playoffs when Smart “fell down” against the Atlanta Hawks.

You can’t be serious with this. This dates back to Smart’s days with Oklahoma State when fans would mock him for his ridiculous flops.

In my opinion, any sort of taunting of Smart’s ridiculous ability to flop is welcomed with open arms. If anyone deserves to get a technical for flopping, it’s Smart. Not only is it dumb, it ruins potentially great plays like the one on Monday. Here’s to hoping referees finally pick up on this at some point.
