Here’s Gilbert Arenas doing Gilbert Arenas things in his post-retirement life.

Arenas’ fall from grace was spectacular. He signed a six-year deal with the Wizards worth $110 million back in 2008, and in the following years, a gun incident, a trade, and a stint in China led to him being out of pro basketball by his earlier 30’s.

Still, Arenas has done well. He made over $20 million from being amnestied by the Magic in 2012-13 and has earned nearly $200 million his career. So despite being currently unemployed, he’s still got capital.

Arenas flaunted just some of his cash on his Instagram account after being kicked out of a strip club. He stupidly posted he’s the reason strip clubs finger print now (editor’s note: really, that’s a thing? Huh, imagine that). He said his routine was to take out $80,000 (!!!!!!) worth of one dollar bills, and throw $40,000 (!!!!!!!!!) at strippers while sneaking the rest out of the club (editor’s note: how in the hell does one sneak out of a strip club with $40,000 in dollar bills?).

Arenas would then wake up the next day, call his credit card company, and claim the charges weren’t his. He’d get a refund on his money, and pocket the extra 40K, saying *sigh* ‘strippers gave me that vagina on the house.’ Arenas calls himself smart, but that’s fraud.

So congrats Gilbert: you’ve still got a boatload of money, but admitting you’ve committed fraud on your Instagram may be the dumbest thing you’ve done to date – and that’s quite a long list of feats.

Either the former point guard is lying to flaunt how much cash he has, or he’s as dumb as well all think he is.
