The Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans shocked the basketball world by pulling off a blockbuster trade which sent DeMarcus Cousins to the Pelicans, shortly after the All-Star Game concluded in New Orleans on Sunday night.
Twitter had a lot to say about the trade, and most of the chatter — although certainly not from Kings play-by-play man Grant Napear — has been mocking the Sacramento front office:
The Nuggets got more first-round picks for Timofey Mozgov than the Kings got for DeMarcus Cousins.

I have no idea if this trade will work for NOLA, but you deal Evans, Hield, Galloway and a 1st/2nd for Cousins in a microsecond.

Me to a NBA front office guy – "I don't get the Kings."

Apologies. I'm just stunned by the Kings' 180 on a guy they were willing to give $200M to just a few weeks ago.

haters: "You couldn't convince me to take DeMarcus Cousins for free."
haters, now: "Oh, well, yeah, gotta do that deal."

Let's not be too hard on the Kings. We've all made mistakes after a crazy weekend on Bourbon Street.

If you have friends who are Kings fans, hug them. Can't believe that's all Sac got in a trade for a player of Boogie's caliber.

The Suns traded the Kings more to get the 8th pick in the 2016 Draft than the Pelicans traded the Kings to get DeMarcus Cousins.

The Kings said "GIVE US THE WORLD" and the Pels were like, "We've got 12 bucks and half a jar of mayonnaise" and the Kings were like, "DEAL"

This trade is honestly insulting to the city of Sacramento and the loyal #Kings fans who saved the franchise in the first place. Unreal.

If the Kings traded DeMarcus Cousins last summer or the summer before like they should've they wouldn't have been forced to settle for this.
