The Houston Rockets led the Toronto Raptors by two points with under three minutes to go on Sunday at Air Canada Centre. Crunch time.

None of that mattered to Rockets guard James Harden, apparently.

I know it’s hard to be intense on defense for 82 games a year and you’re trying to stay fresh, etc, etc. But sheesh, that defense would be ridiculed at the rec center. At least just step to the left — even if casually –and try to impede DeMar DeRozan’s path to the basket. That really isn’t too much to ask.

To be fair, Harden most definitely brought it on the offensive end, at least. He finished with 40 points and 14 assists, and the Rockets still ended up winning the game, 113-107.
