James Harden is making this look too easy. The Rockets’ superstar guard dropped 54 points on the Orlando Magic in Houston’s 130-107 win on Friday night. And he did so with incredibly efficient shooting: 19-of-31 from the field, 10-of-15 on three-pointers, and 6-of-6 at the line.
This comes one game after Harden scored 55 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Over these two games, Harden has scored 109 points, while taking just 11 free throws (all of which he made). It’s absolutely incredible.
James Harden the last two games was like: “Y’all gonna complain about free throws? Fine, I’ll drop 50-burgers without them.”
109 points in two games, only 11 free throws. This scoring season has been entirely ridiculous from him so far. I’m excited to watch him chase 40 PPG

Harden already has five games with at least 50 points scored this season (topping out at 60… which he did in just three quarters). That’s the same amount of games that the New York Knicks (5-20) and Golden State Warriors (5-21) have won this season (entering play on Friday night).
Harden is now averaging an absurd 39.3 points per game. He truly has a real chance to average 40+.
