Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid was a game-time decision for Game 2 of the team’s second-round seriets against the Toronto Raptors on Monday night, due to a case of gastroenteritis. Embiid battled through the stomach illness to play 32 minutes in the Sixers’ 94-89 win, but wasn’t quite himself, with 12 points (shot just 2-of-7 from the field), six rebounds, five assists, one block, and six turnovers.

In the postgame press conference, Embiid was asked about the stomach illness, and gave a very honest answer that even made teammate Jimmy Butler laugh (by the way- Butler was the star in the win with 30 points).

“If you’ve had the shits before, you’d know how it feels.”

Fair enough.

Assuming Embiid doesn’t have to deal with the shits in the rest of this series, the superstar center — who averaged 27.5 points and 13.6 rebounds this season — will be a much bigger problem for the Raptors. The series — tied 1-1 — now heads to Philadelphia, with Game 3 on Thursday night.
