San Antonio Spurs guard Jonathon Simmons turned the ball over in the final seconds of the third quarter on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, but he certainly made up for the play just seconds later on the other end of the floor.

Watch Simmons come racing out of nowhere for the incredible chase-down block on Jamal Crawford:

That’s a flat-out ridiculous play.

Chase-down blocks are the best blocks; they require great speed, leaping ability, hustle, and timing (and even still, it’s difficult to make the play without committing a foul). LeBron James is the master of the play, and he certainly had to be impressed with the effort by Simmons on this one.
