Joel Embiid is back tonight after clearing concussion protocol, and after essentially demanding to play, he’s back on the court and wearing a fairly ornate mask.

With the series tied 1-1, the Sixers could certainly use him, but so far in Miami the Heat have continued their hot (sorry) play, and they lead favored Philadelphia 64-63 at the half. That’s thanks in large part to Justise Winslow, who has gone off for 19 points (4-5 from three), 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.

But most importantly, he stomped on Embiid’s mask after the goggle portion came loose and ended up on the court. He really wasn’t that subtle about it, either:

Embiid isn’t exactly beloved by the rest of the league (generally for good reason), but this could have been the best-liked guy in the league (Dirk, maybe?) and it would have still been hilarious.

We’ll have to see whether or not Embiid gets his revenge in the second half.
