Karl-Anthony Towns expressed his displeasure over not earning an All-NBA selection, and now he wants the world to know he’s just as good at “Call of Duty” as he is at basketball — and maybe even better.

In an interview with The Undefeated, Towns asserted that he and Timberwolves teammate Andrew Wiggins could beat any other duo of NBA gamers in Call of Duty:

Besides yourself, who’s the best Call of Duty player in the NBA?

From what I know … it has to be Andrew Wiggins. It’s funny that you have two great Call of Duty players on the same team, but we found a way in Minnesota to make it happen.

Do you think you guys could take on any other NBA duo without a problem?

I guarantee Andrew and I can take any other duo in the NBA.

Towns has an endorsement deal with Activision, which makes Call of Duty, so it’s not surprising to hear him hype up his gaming skills. However, a couple of years ago, he nominated Suns guard Devin Booker as the best gamer on their 2014-15 Kentucky team that went 38-1. From SI.com:

SI.com: Who was the best gamer on the team at Kentucky?

KT: We were really big on video games. Last year, because he played a lot it would be [walk-on guard] EJ Floreal. Or Devin Booker.

Hmmmm.

We’ve already seen KAT display his skills in some old-school games, so I’m inclined to believe his confidence isn’t overblown.

But Wiggins has already said he’s defeated Towns in Call of Duty. So who knows? Maybe KAT is just blowing steam.
