New York Knicks fans don’t have much to cheer for this season, with their team winning just 10 games and seeing franchise player Kristaps Porzingis getting dealt to the Dallas Mavericks during the trade deadline. Looking ahead, the picture, on paper, is rosier. With recent moves, the Knicks have enough cap space to sign two max contracts this summer, with Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant being the big target. The team might already be selling a future with Durant, as the team’s season ticket renewal website featured an image with the 2014 MVP.

Check out this promotional image of Knicks forward Mitchell Robinson, who just so happens to be pictured next to Durant.

The image appeared in the Knicks membership portal in a call to action to renew season tickets.

After people caught on, the Knicks took down the image of Durant.

Was it unintentional Durant, the player New York covets most who’s a free agent next year, was used in a photo marketing season tickets for next season? I highly doubt it. That’d be one hell of a coincidence. It’s a sneaky move by the Knicks. I wouldn’t go so far to call it outright tampering, but the organization had to know what it was suggesting with the picture.
