Monday night’s thrilling finish between the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers produced controversy in the aftermath.
The NBA released its ‘Last 2 Minutes’ report on the Knicks-Sixers game. That report uncovered findings that might make a lot of 76ers fans unhappy on Tuesday.
The league found numerous fouls and violations that should have been called during the game’s final hectic moments.
“In its ‘Last 2 Minute’ report, NBA found 4 incorrect calls in final 2 minutes of Knicks’ Game 2 win over Sixers,” reporter Ian Begley said. Begley posted the news on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.
“Incorrect calls included Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart committing fouls on Tyrese Maxey that were not called during SIxers’ inbounds with 27 seconds to go.”

That was a consequential sequence in the game that officials missed. Maxey lost possession of the ball on the inbounds pass and that directly led to the Knicks taking the lead. Donte DiVincenzo missed a 3-pointer initially but the ball got kicked back out to him before he made the go-ahead shot.
This report shows that if officials called the game properly, it appears that the Knicks might not have gotten a chance to get that shot off how they did.
The results are what they are, but it’s a bitter pill for any fan to swallow today. That was evident with the response to the NBA’s L2M report.
Anything on the Sixers not boxing out for 78 straight possessions? https://t.co/lSqEOgpIkg

INSANE there's nothing on Maxey's blatant push-off on Hart here. That's laughable. Much worse than anything Embiid did to DDV. https://t.co/yNSdSADZOl

Ohhhh get ready for Game 3 whistles to be in 76ers’ favor https://t.co/SsVflzY4sE

Just great that the last 2 Minutes Report completely agrees that the Sixers were absolutely robbed by the refs and it all amounts to nothing
