The Los Angeles Lakers have always been one of the most eccentric teams in the NBA. This year was clearly going to be no different, as the Lakers drafted the son of superstar forward LeBron James, Bronny James, in the second round of the draft despite him having little to no success in college at the University of South California.

Bronny has since started to split his time between the Los Angeles Lakers and the South Bay Lakers, the NBA team’s G-League affiliate. However, one former Los Angeles player thinks the team should cut the younger James.

“We’ve got a kid who does not deserve his job,” Kawme Brown said on an episode of his Kwame Brown Bust Life podcast. “Why can’t they just cut Bronny and bring up Quincy, somebody to help the Lakers? They just got their a– whooped by 25.”

Fans reacted to Brown’s take online.

“Kwame is legitimately intelligent idk what his education is but it’s the kind of you don’t necessarily learn at school. You can tell he’s really thinking about what he’s saying but also actually listening not just talking,” one fan commented on YouTube.

“Quincy is leading the South Bay Lakers in scoring. The Lakers wasted money on Bronny. Lebron ruined his son mental health,” one fan added.

“The fact Rob Pelinka and JJ said Bronny earned his contract had me laughing like a MF! Gil cappin like always, Klutch got their trolls in check for sure,” another fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Bronny does end up getting cut despite his patronage.
