The Los Angeles Lakers will not make the 2021-2022 NBA Playoffs after they were officially eliminated on Tuesday night. The internet had a field day roasting the roster that includes LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwight Howard for not being able to make the playoffs in spite of all the hype they brought into the season.

While it’s pretty normal for Twitter to have some fun with a popular team when they fall short of expectations, this was on another level as it appeared that people took the time and effort to put together whole video packages to show just how miserable this season has been for the Lake Show.

Perhaps no video sums all of this up better than the perfectly timed “One Shining Moment” that dropped Tuesday night after the embarrassing loss.

The clip showcases many of the truly brutal moments of the Lakers’ season as well as the embarrassment that so many other people in the NBA world felt for them.

But that’s not all. Given that HBO’s Winning Time is currently on and drawing eyeballs, it only made sense to turn that show’s opening credits into a spoof version to “celebrate” the current state of the franchise.

Bleacher Report also made their own compilation video. While it lacks the same thematic qualities as the other two, it certainly does help paint the picture of this truly terrible Lakers season.

Sadly we can expect this version of the Los Angeles Lakers to cease existing very soon. Shame, because they’ve given us so much amazing content.
