The NBA world took notice of a matchup between two of the top prospects in the upcoming 2023 NBA Draft in Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson on Tuesday night.

While Henderson played extremely well in his own right, Wembanyama was the true story, and even LeBron James took notice of the special talent that the French prospect possesses.

James was asked about Wembanyama in a press conference on Wednesday, where he offered some bold praise for the 18-year-old European star.

“We’re labeling like this unicorn thing, everybody’s been a unicorn over the last few years, but he’s more like an alien,” James said. “No one has ever seen anyone as tall as he is but as fluid and as graceful as he is out on the floor.

James then went on to give him the highest praise that he could receive, calling him a “generational talent”.

There are already rumors that NBA teams are starting a “race” to the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft to be able to select Wembanyama first overall which certainly speaks to his excellence on the court.

Wembanyama has been labeled the top prospect since LeBron was in high school.

If anyone knows how the overseas sensational feels about this rise in popularity and fame, it is LeBron James.

Despite many calling for Wembanyama to stop playing professionally in preparation for the draft to avoid any injuries, his agent revealed that he will continue to play.

At his height with his style of play, there will always be concerns about his health potentially playing a factor in his NBA career.

That being said, Victor Wembanyama is certainly a special player, and he has the confidence to boot that could carry him to stardom at the NBA level in the future.
