Nobody ever accused LeSean McCoy of not putting his money where his mouth is. That may be used more in a figurative sense, but McCoy is taking that much more literally when it comes to the NBA Finals.

McCoy shared an image of his betting slip from Planet Hollywood that shows he placed a $200,000 straight-up bet on the Warriors winning the best-of-seven series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. As long as the Warriors win the series, McCoy will cash out $262,500 in winnings for a profit of $62,500. That seems somewhat unfulfilling for a guy like McCoy after dropping that much on a bet. Then again, who am I to tell McCoy how to spend his money?

The ticket shows the bet was made on June 1, prior to the start of the NBA Finals in California.

The NFL does not allow players in the league to gamble on football, but players are allowed to gamble on other sports. McCoy’s $200,000 bet on the Warriors was the largest bet taken on the finals by Planet Hollywood, according to David Purdum.

The Warriors are up 2-0 in the NBA Finals as the series moves to Cleveland this week for Games 3 and 4. The Warriors held a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals last year before being on the wrong end of history. The way the Warriors have been playing this postseason suggests they are on a mission to make sure nothing stands in their way of a second title in three years. Maybe McCoy has good reason to feel confident about that bet.
