Metta World Peace lip-syncs Katy Perry.

Metta World Peace, or the artist formally known as Ron Artest, became famous for two things: playing basketball and his temperament. Katy Perry, meanwhile, became famous for one thing: singing.

Just because World Peace was good at playing basketball and being controversial doesn’t mean he is good at mimicking what Perry does for a living. Luckily, there is a TV that shows just how bad World Peace is at doing that.

Lip Sync Battle is something we’ve written about before and is a tremendous concept for a show. The latest edition involving World Peace trying to impersonate Perry during her song “Roar” is a perfect example of what makes the show so great.

That’s only a preview and it’s tough to watch without laughing. I can only imagine what the entire performance looks like.

World Peace isn’t the first athlete on the show and he won’t be the last either. Here are some other great athlete performances on the show.

Retired NFL stars Tony Gonzalez and Ray Lewis:

Retired NBA star Shaquille O’Neal:

So, yeah, most of these guys should probably stick to their day jobs.
