Injury fines are all the rage right now in the world of sports and the NBA is no different. The NBA fined the Heat $25,000 after they failed to disclose a proper injury report against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The release issued on Friday by the NBA read, “The NBA today announced the Miami Heat has been fined $25,000 for violating league injury reporting rules. The Heat failed to disclose an accurate game availability status for several players prior to its game vs. Oklahoma City on Dec. 14 at Paycom Center.”

So how did the team respond? Just as you might expect: Miami listed every single player on the team on their injury report for Saturday’s game vs. San Antonio. Danny Marang pointed out the petty move on Twitter.

Yup, that’s 17 different players on the report. The team left no stone unturned. From Jimmy Butler to Kyle Lowry and Bam Adebayo to Caleb Martin, the gang is all here.

This is as cheeky a response can get. The NBA world reacted with hilarity to the move by the Heat.

Jose Mesa Corrales of ESPN tweeted, “After being fined $25,000 by the NBA this morning for failing to properly disclose their injury report, the Miami Heat have nor responded by listing ALL 17 of their players on the injury report list. Stay classy Miami.”

Next, Sirius XM host Justin Termine expressed great displeasure over the move by the Heat.

Additionally, others like Brandon Abraham of Grizzly Bear Blues expressed how funny and great he thought it was.

And veteran NBA TV personality Matt Winer chimed in as well. “This is a spectacular response by the Heat…” Winer proclaimed.
