The Miami Heat are currently at the top of the Eastern Conference with an impressive 42-22 record. They look to be real contenders to represent the conference in this season’s NBA Finals.

Reports came out on Thursday night that the team could get back a valuable piece for their potential playoff run this season. Two-time All-Star Victor Oladipo plans to make his season debut for the Heat on Monday against the Houston Rockets.

Oladipo has reportedly fully recovered from the quad tendon injury that hampered him throughout the 2020-21 season. It has been a rough stretch of Oladipo’s career as of late, as he has only played in 49 games since 2019.

At his best, he is an elite defender who can provide some valuable minutes for the Heat going forward, which has many Heat fans very excited to see.

Oladipo’s role with the Heat will be one that was far different than the previous role that he had with the Rockets and Indiana Pacers. On those teams, he was the star and asked to do a lot more scoring than he will with the Heat.

There may be some rust that the 29-year-old needs to shake off considering how often he has been injured in recent years, but if he can be a solid defender and provide some energy for the team, it will be a huge addition for the Heat going forward.
