Michael Jordan

When it comes to the grudge between NBA rivals Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas, it’s hard to believe bygones are bygones.

Jordan explained the ill feelings between the two started during the 1985 All-Star Game. In it, Jordan accused Thomas of freezing him out and not letting him get the ball. That story was recently highlighted by The Inquisitr in a post and accompanying tweet.

“If you go back and look at the film, you can see that Isiah was actually doing that,” Jordan said back in 1992. “Once it started getting around that he was freezing me out, that’s when the ill feelings started to grow between us.”

When Thomas saw the tweet on Thursday, he called it out, saying that the details were not “factual or accurate.” Though, based on the reaction, he seems to think Jordan just said this.

“Stop lying this story is not factual or accurate, tell the truth man,” said Thomas. “Dr. J, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Sidney Moncrief, and I did not freeze you out. If memory serves me correct I was injured most of the second half and Bird had a broken nose. Magic and Sampson dominated the game.”

Maybe Thomas is right, maybe not. But when it comes to grudges, we know Jordan doesn’t need a good reason to hold onto one. Anyone who watched the documentary “The Last Dance” knows that Jordan has, and will hold a grudge, for a long period of time. Jordan himself admitted several times during the film how he would “take it personally” if someone said or did anything against him.

And as you can tell, that still goes for Isiah Thomas too.
