Most young fans have fond memories of meeting Michael Jordan. The legend has signed more than his share of autographs, posed for photos and exchanged pleasantries with fans.

Jalen Green says he got cursed by Jordan the first time they met.

In an appearance on Paul George’s “Podcast P with Paul George,” George asked Green if he’d ever met Jordan.

“I’ve got a crazy story,” Green said. “I was going to a Michael Jordan camp in San Diego. I’m walking to practice from the dorm. I got like high socks on up to my knees, baggy shorts, my swag was terrible.

“I got Adidas slides on. He just walked over to me and he’s like, ‘You need to take off them weak-** Adidas slides.’

“I look back and I’m like, ‘What do you mean?'”

“‘You need to get some Jordan slides,'” Green recalls Jordan telling him.

So Green pushed his luck.

“I said, ‘Give me some,'” he told Jordan. “So he brought me some Jordan slides.”

You can’t blame Jordan, a longtime Nike sponsor, for sticking up for his brand and dissing a competitor. Yet Green is still amused that Jordan would talk to a kid like that.

“I’m a little *** kid, though, and he’s talking about, “Get rid of them weak-*** slides.'”

One can only assume Green picked up some useful tips about basketball at the youth camp. The 21-year-old guard scored 22.1 points per game this season.
