The Golden State Warriors broke the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ record of 72 regular-season wins with a 125-104 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night at Oracle Arena.

73-9. Ridiculous.

After the game, a few members of the 95-96 Bulls team responded to the Warriors breaking their record set 20 years ago.

Here’s what Michael Jordan had to say:

(Warriors All-Star forward Draymond Green said recently that Jordan told him to “go get the record“. Mission accomplished.)

And here were Scottie Pippen’s thoughts on Golden State breaking the record:

Those comments come just a couple weeks after Pippen said that he thinks the 95-96 Bulls would sweep these Warriors.

And don’t think for a second that we’re leaving Bill Wennington’s thoughts out of this (after all, the big man chipped in 5.6 points a night for those Bulls):

Then there’s the situation of Steve Kerr, the head coach of these Warriors. Remember, he was also a member of the 95-96 Bulls.

Well, before Wednesday night’s game, Kerr said how he’s “felt their (Bulls’) support” and that those Bulls were “a really close team”. In honor of that Bulls team, Kerr even wore his Scottie Pippen socks (!) for Wednesday night’s game. For real:
