To thank Memphis Grizzlies fans, guard Mike Conley has bought 500 tickets to Game 3 of their first round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs to give away to Grizzlies fans.

Tickets for tomorrow’s game will be available on a first come, first served basis at around 12:30 pm after practice today at their home arena FedExForum. People can receive two tickets per person and

It’s a very nice gesture from Conley considering playoff tickets can be increasingly expensive. Grizzlies fans have also been victim of a great team resting its stars as the Cleveland Cavaliers rested their starters in Memphis this past December.

The only obvious danger with this nice gesture is people getting tickets who don’t deserve them. Namely, those who scoop up tickets and then scalp them before the game. According to StubHub, tickets are surprisingly affordable for a playoff game. Upper level seats are going for as low as $16 and there’s plenty of tickets available via StubHub and Ticketmaster resale market so chances are scalpers will be desperate to offload their tickets given the higher supply over the demand.

So good on Mike Conley for offering these tickets to Grizzlies fans around Memphis. And if you are unable to get a ticket, you can still get a pretty good deal. The Grizzlies will need all the fans they can to attend because the Spurs are up 2-0.
