The Golden State Warriors dynasty has been rekindled, which is earning well-deserved praise from all of their biggest fans, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Friday morning, Pelosi issued a congratulatory tweet to the Warriors who were coming off their Game 6 victory over the Boston Celtics, securing the franchise’s fourth NBA Championship in just eight years.

“Congratulations Warriors on your victory in the NBA Finals,” Pelosi tweeted. “A testament to your dazzling talent and teamwork! Your magnificent performance this year – and your dominance in winning four titles in just seven years – have made all in the Bay Area proud to be a part of #DubNation.”

Interestingly, it was Pelosi’s first tweet about the Warriors since prior to Game 1 of the NBA Finals, when the “Team Pelosi” Twitter account shared a picture of the House Speaker wearing a Warriors hoodie underneath a yellow leather jacket.

The Warriors went on to blow a 12-point fourth quarter lead, losing Game 1 in San Francisco 120-108. Much of Dub Nation accused Pelosi of jinxing the Warriors after their series opening loss to the Celtics, possibly prompting her to hold off on tweeting again until after the conclusion of the NBA Finals.

Pelosi, a San Francisco democrat, moved to the city in 1969 and has served as a U.S. congressional representative from California since 1987. Now the first and only woman in United States history to admirably serve as speaker of the House, Pelosi has been a known fan of the Warriors since at least 2015. Ironically, 2015 is also the year the Warriors won their first championship in four decades, and the year the team likely acquired a lot of new bandwagon fans.
