The Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic marriage is going as well as many thought it would. The Dallas Mavericks have been struggling since Irving join the team, which many saw coming.
Irving wasn’t exactly the ideal teammate when he was with the Brooklyn Nets, so it shouldn’t be a shock to any way that he isn’t winning his teammates or fans over in Dallas.
So when asked by reporters what was wrong, Doncic was very candid with his response. Saying that he’s not excited about playing anymore and lost his love for the game.
A lot of fans blame Irving for Doncic’s attitude these days. He has seem to have taken the excitement out of what was once a promising team.

Irving basically admitted that it has been rough adjusting to his new surroundings.
“[W]e’re still feeling each other out in a way of getting used to each other’s efforts and attitudes and temperament. And that’s a real thing. That’s a human thing. That’s a human element. Whether people believe it in basketball or not, there’s a very fine line between winning basketball games and everyone being on the same page and losing basketball games and things splintering and pointing fingers.”
But Mav fans seem to be taking Doncic’s side in this.
Can’t blame him at all. From the moment he got there he’s had to rebound everything, run every play and basically score every point. That’s exhausting. Having Kyrie is cool but until this team gets a new owner, coach and an actual nba quality big they’re going nowhere

As you can tell, some Mav fans aren’t pleased with Kyrie and what he has brought to this team.
