The 2021-22 NBA season was one to forget for New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson, who did not play this past season due to a foot injury that continued to flare up on him.

Williamson (seen above in March) continued to have setbacks with his foot, and the Pelicans aired on the side of caution given how valuable he can be to the franchise moving forward.

He will look to bounce back next year, and it certainly looks like he has already been putting in some excellent work thus far during the offseason.

A photo of Williamson has been circulating around social media on Wednesday that shows Williamson to be in excellent shape, which is something that has been an issue for him in his young career to this point.

Williamson also posted a video on Tuesday to announce his second signature shoe, which features some shots of him looking to be in pretty good shape while going through workouts.

Many around the NBA world have taken notice, and seem to be extremely excited about what he could potentially look like on the basketball court next year for the Pelicans while looking to be in the best shape of his life.

Williamson showed the type of potential that he has in the NBA in his second season in the league, averaging 27 points per game while shooting 62.2 percent from the field in the 2020-21 NBA season.

He truly possesses a physical skill set that is matched by very few in the NBA, and it looks like he may be back to his peak form heading into the upcoming 2022 season.

The Pelicans looked promising last year with their addition of star guard CJ McCollum at the NBA trade deadline last season.

If Williamson can come back and play at an All Star level next year, a big three of himself, Brandon Ingram, and McCollum could be a dangerous trio to look out for in the Western Conference for years to come.
