The NBA is back, and so are hilarious “smothered chicken” calls from Indiana Pacers’ color commentator Quinn Buckner.

In the fourth quarter of Friday night’s Indiana Pacers game against the Milwaukee Bucks, two stars met at the rim when Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo tried to throw down a dunk on Indiana’s Victor Oladipo.

The 6’4″ Oladipo showed off his hops and rejected the 6’11”, long-armed Antetokounmpo. What appeared to be an easy dunk for the Greek Freak resulted in a jumpball.

And Buckner went bonkers with his call on the Fox Sports Indiana broadcast:

“OOH! EXCUSE ME! OH YES! SMOTHERED CHICKEN ALL DAY THAT PLAYER! ALL DAY! OOH YES! THAT’S SMOTHERED CHICKEN!

HERE, GO UP! SMOTHER IT! OOH WITH A LITTLE GRAVY! JUST A BIT OF GRAVY! OH MY GOODNESS!”

Buckner made the most of his opportunity to make that amazing call. The rest of the night didn’t go so well for the Pacers, with the Bucks coming out on top 118-101.
