In June, the Cleveland Cavaliers overcame a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals to beat the Golden State Warriors for the city’s first title in over five decades. It was one of the more amazing NBA Finals series we have seen because of the spectacular comeback — over a team that set the regular-season wins record — and unreal play by their hometown hero, LeBron James.

The discussion of championship rings might not be greater in any sport than it is in professional hoops, and LeBron and company will be adding one to their respective resumes. Richard Jefferson, noted Snapchat extraordinaire, posted a photo of what the rings would look like.

Initially, RJ posted saying, “I’ll show you guys something as long as you promise not to show anyone else.” And then, the ring:

090616-Cavs

That’s a pretty sweet looking piece of hardware. The ring displays Jefferson’s number in the Cavaliers’ typeface, along with the skyline of the city of Cleveland, which perhaps wouldn’t be more appropriate on any other championship ring.

The renderings are sweet, but the real thing is going to be even better. That’s going to be one hell of a ring ceremony in October.
