The Detroit Pistons pulled off an upset road victory over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night at Chase Center, and they got it done with a very memorable finish.

With the game tied 119-119, Detroit had the ball out of bounds with one second remaining. Saddiq Bey caught the inbound pass and proceeded to drain a fadeaway, buzzer-beating three for a 122-119 Pistons win.

This is an incredible, clutch shot from Bey, who fell to the ground and was near half-court when he watched the shot go in:

Bey — in his third season out of Villanova — scored 17 points in 29 minutes off the bench. Bojan Bogdanovic led the way in scoring for Detroit with 29 points.

Here’s a look at how the basketball world has reacted to Bey’s buzzer-beating three:

James L. Edwards III of The Athletic tweeted, “Bey said he messed up on the play. ‘I was supposed to set another screen. But I wanted the ball so bad. I (might get) yelled at in the film session.’

“The Pistons followed an embarrassing performance the other night with an incredible win against the defending champs who have now only lost 3 games at home. That’s some resilience,” tweeted the Pistons Thoughts account.

“The Pistons have twice as many road wins as the Warriors,” tweeted Steve Berman of The Athletic.

“Bey in the Bay. Wow,” tweeted Marc J. Spears of ESPN.

This comes just two days after the Warriors won on a buzzer-beater in the same arena.
