A question that every all-time great basketball player is eventually posed with is what their dream starting lineup would be out of every player in NBA history.

Basketball Hall of Fame forward Scottie Pippen was asked for his answer in a recent interview with the TrashTalkProductions YouTube channel on Wednesday. His answer is a bit of an unconventional one.

Pippen chose himself, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Shaquille O’Neal as his all-time starting five. He initially put Charles Barkley on the team instead of Giannis but decided to ultimately replace him with the 2021 NBA champion.

Basketball fans took the chance to dissect his list, with many taking issues with Pippen naming himself on the list.

Others pointed out the fact that there is very little consistent shooting on his lineup, which wouldn’t bode well in the modern NBA.

Obviously, the idea of this all-time team is just for fun, but it is interesting to see Pippen not put LeBron James on his list considering he previously said LeBron is his pick for the GOAT.

LeBron also may not be too pleased with Pippen’s picks considering James said last month on The Shop that Scottie would be his choice over Jordan as a teammate if he got to team up with any player in NBA history.

Pippen may not have picked LeBron for this team because, in most people’s eyes, Scottie is the odd man out of this lineup and should be replaced by LeBron.

While it’s clearly a hypothetical situation, it does continue the trend of Pippen flip-flopping between preferring Jordan or LeBron.
