It’s safe to say that most people know Shaquille O’Neal for what he did on the court as one of the most dominant basketball players of all time. After all, he was a 15-time All-Star who won four NBA championships and earned a league MVP award. But this summer, some people are going to get to see the NBA legend in a completely new way: as a DJ.

On Tuesday afternoon, the annual Bonnaroo Music Festival held in Manchester, Tennessee announced its lineup. And in a shocking turn of events, Shaquille O’Neal was included on the lineup under the stage name “Diesel.”

It’s pretty surprising news to see a legendary athlete like Shaq moving into a new industry, and Twitter had plenty to about the news.

“We got it confirmed from @Bonnaroo themselves, the Diesel listed on the lineup IS @SHAQ!” Roo Bus said on Twitter.

“Bonnaroo keeps getting more and more amazing,” Voiceover Vegan said on Twitter.

“If Shaq is going to Bonnaroo then I guess I’m going to Bonnaroo” one fan said on Twitter.

The NBA world and the music world will anxiously await what Shaq – AKA “Diesel” – will bring out during his performance, which is set to take place on Friday, June 16.
