It’s usually not a good idea to comment on people’s personal lives from afar and cast judgement on their romantic decisions, because it’s impossible to know what they’re thinking, and it’s none of your business anyway.
That said… you probably wouldn’t have expected to see Shelly and Donald Sterling reunite in this lifetime.
According to TMZ, Shelly has called off the divorce of her disgraced husband, adding to a bizarre saga featuring lawsuits, adultery, sports and racism.
Sterling was forced to sell the Los Angeles Clippers in 2014 after audio of a racist conversation with his girlfriend V. Stiviano went public. It’s hard to figure any aspect of that story was particularly appealing to Shelly Sterling. It’s also difficult to imagine Shelly was thrilled when Donald called her “a pig” in court last year while he was in the midst of suing her.
We’ll have to see how this affects Shelly Sterling’s status as the “Clippers’ Number One Fan,” a title conferred onto her after she agreed to sell the team out from under her husband.
So yeah, the Sterlings aren’t the perfect couple, necessarily, but love is a fickle thing.
