With the Boston Celtics up 2-0 now on the Indiana Pacers, many feel that the series is over including Skip Bayless.
On his show “Undisputed” Bayless says the Celtics will have a cakewalk to their first NBA Championship in 16 years.
“It feels meant to be. Everything has lined up for them,” Bayless told Celtics great Paul Pierce. “The planets are aligned for you guys to have all but a cakewalk to the first championship since you guys won it in 2008.”

He’s not wrong. Many thought that the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and the New York Knicks could threaten the Celtics in the playoffs. But all three teams were eliminated before the conference finals in part due to injuries, especially to the Knicks.
The Celtics to this point have managed to stay almost injury-free through the playoffs and haven’t really been challenged.
Now that could all change if the Pacers win at home this weekend to even the series and had they won the first game of this series, maybe the narrative would change but according to many, it’s a done deal.
We will all see. The Celtics tend throughout the years to get a bit laidback once they are up in a series and it will be interesting to see if that happens with the Pacers during this series.
