Steph Curry has enjoyed a summer largely out of the spotlight after his Warriors blew a 3-1 series lead to the Cavs in the NBA Finals, but as the new season looms closer, Curry won’t like seeing this go viral.
This was the @mamuinthesea block on @StephenCurry30 that earned him his MVP merch. pic.twitter.com/3c46y93DNW

The young man who has won the hearts of everyone on the internet is Philippine U18 player Gian Mamuyac, who stifled the unanimous MVP with his suffocating defense and fantastic ability at an event in Taiwan. Doesn’t this remind you of how Kevin Love did pretty much the same thing in Game 7? This is better because it’s a 17 year old doing this to Curry.
Because Steph couldn’t live with the indignity, he asked to replay the last five seconds and it didn’t quite go as well for Mamuyac and his teammates the second time around.
Uhm, so Steph asked for a replay of the last 5 secs haha 😊 then @mamuinthesea just put up both hands and SPLASH 💦 pic.twitter.com/fvQvNKmjIl

Mamuyac was invited to one of Curry’s camps recently, owing to the fact that he has some good talent, but he’s still 17 and blocking Steph Curry. That is wonderful.
Oh, and the Warriors still blew a 3-1 series lead in the NBA Finals, in case you forgot.
