There have been plenty of moves made during NBA’s free agency, between Kevin Durant going to the Golden State Warriors, among many others.
One player whose future still seems to be up in the air is Dwyane Wade’s, who still hasn’t come to an agreement with a team yet. The Miami Heat were in the Durant sweepstakes, but never had a very real shot at landing the superstar. They’ve paid Hassan Whiteside a max contract on the first day of free agency, but have still yet to come to terms with Wade.
The Denver Nuggets, however, are willing to throw whatever they have to in order to land Wade, and it came in the form of a two-year, $50 million offer:
The Nuggets' two-year offer to Dwayne Wade is north of $50 million, according to league sources, with Denver still hopeful Wade accepts it.

The offer is $10 million more than what the Miami Heat have reportedly been offering. Despite this big difference, it’s largely expected that Wade will remain with the only franchise he’s ever known.
But The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Wade is going to meet with the Nuggets Wednesday:
Sources: Free agent guard Dwyane Wade meeting with Denver Nuggets officials on Wednesday in New York. Story soon on @TheVertical.

The Nuggets would certainly love to have Wade along for a couple of years, as they haven’t really had a star since Carmelo Anthony. They’ve got a good young group of players, and Wade could certainly help develop some of that young talent.
Ultimately, it appears Wade is willing to hold out hope that the Miami Heat will eventually match what the Nuggets are willing to put on the table, especially if he’s able to continue to pressure the franchise into the idea that he could leave South Beach for another destination. He’s already taken discounts from the Heat before, and with his career winding down and the team not looking like a title contender anytime soon, Wade understandably wants his money.
