OAKLAND, CA – MAY 21: Josh Smith #5 of the Houston Rockets looks on in the first quarter against the Golden State Warriors during game two of the Western Conference Finals of the 2015 NBA PLayoffs at ORACLE Arena on May 21, 2015 in Oakland, California. Josh Smith is headed back to Houston. Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, known for breaking any news in the NBA that needs to be known, tweeted out Friday morning that the Clippers were sending the veteran forward back to the team he spent the majority of the 2014-15 season with.

If the failed experiment in Los Angeles for Smith and the Clippers wasn’t funny enough for some, the details of the trade did the trick:

This made for some excellent reactions from the Twitterverse, who never let’s us down in moments like these.

It looks like having Smith back in Houston is going to make for more fun on NBA Twitter, and that’s something that we will all enjoy as the second half of the season moves along.

In all seriousness, Smith (somehow) played somewhat of a big role for the Rockets last season in the playoffs, and maybe he will be able to turn his season around and provide a spark for the Rockets as they try to contend in the vicious Western Conference.
