Andrew Wiggins is getting the Steph Curry treatment after photos of his new signature shoe line with adidas made their way online.
Multiple version of Wiggins’ “Crazy Explosive” shoes have been shown and they’re pretty funky. Here’s the darker version of the shoe, which feature a mesh outline, gigantic soles, and a multi-color graffiti design on the tongue that extends its way around the shoe. “AW” sits on the tongue with a Maple Leaf embedded inside. The colors don’t exactly match throughout.

Here’s the lighter model, which looks better in comparison, but that’s not really saying much. It has a similar mesh design, green lace holders, and the same funky graffiti design on the tongue.

In terms of design, they’re going to work as functional basketball shoes and somewhat match the Timberwolves’ colors. But, Wiggins created a monster with these shoes. They just don’t look right. The weird mix of colors, as well as the mesh and huge soles make it look blocky and ugly.
As they did with the Curry shoe release, the Internet had some fun at Wiggins’ expense.

Steph's shoe and Wiggins' shoe are at opposite ends of the Ugly Shoe Spectrum. Like how both acids and bases will kill you if you chug them

Wiggins will be wearing his new shoes next season. While I’m sure he’s proud of the design, something tells me he’ll be getting a lot WHAT ARE THOSE comments on the court. The shoes are ugly. It’s hard to please the public.
