The NBA season is right around the corner and while fans can probably already predict a Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers rematch in the finals next summer, a preseason and regular season still have to be played.
Speaking of the Warriors, some of their wins this season are sure to be eye-opening. No not because of their incredible comebacks, but because of how badly they beat the opposing team. One such case has already happened, and it was during Golden State’s first preseason game of the year.

Forty-five points. The Warriors beat the likely playoff-bound Los Angeles Clippers by 45 points. Well I guess that makes sense when Steph Curry scores 30 and Kevin Durrant nets 21 for the same team.
The box score is just ridiculous for this game. Black Griffin led all Clippers’ starters with 6 points in 18 minutes. Former Warrior Marreese Speights’ 14 points were the most on Los Angeles’ entire roster. Then again, those 14 points were 19% of the Clippers’ final point total.
On a team level, Los Angels shot only 32.4% from the field and were 6-for-27 (22.2%) from downtown. Meanwhile Golden State shot 51.4% from the field and was 15-for-29 (51.7%) from beyond the arc. The more one looks at the box score the more a 120-75 win makes sense.
This Warriors team should be fun to watch this year, to say the least.
