The Lakers’ 2018-19 season hit a new low on Saturday night. Los Angeles lost 118-109 to the Phoenix Suns, boosting the Suns’ record to 13-51 on the season. That’s still the worst record in the NBA.

The Suns are a rebuilding, tanking team that’s supposed to be terrible. The Lakers are supposed to be making strides and pushing for a playoff spot in their first season with LeBron James. Instead, Los Angeles is now 30-33, 4.5 games back for the No. 8 seed and trending in the wrong direction.

Saturday night’s performance — and the season in general — can be summarized by this attempted LeBron inbounds pass.

Yes, he straight-up threw the ball right into the backboard, resulting in a violation and automatic turnover with no Suns players paying attention. Yikes.
